Steve Hofman

Steve Hofman is a full-time resident of Steamboat Springs. Steve, his wife, Jacki and their children, Neil and Alan, started coming to the Yampa valley in the early 1990’s and developed an appreciation for the area that has kept them ever since. Steve is a former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Labor, director of research and policy for the U.S. House republican leadership, former guest scholar at the Brookings Institution and former member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Currently, Steve has a consulting practice, advising CEO’s on their business strategies as well as writing regularly on economic issues for major newspapers and magazines. Steve is also involved extensively in national public policy.

David Marin

David Marin is a full time resident of Routt County. He has lived in Colorado since 1978. David is the founder of Colorado Construction & Design and is a licensed general contractor in Denver. Over the last 30 years Colorado Construction has completed hundreds of homes and apartments in Colorado and Texas. From 1982 to 1996 David was the President/ Chief Operating Officer of Flemming, Anderson, Cohen & Lee, Inc. a NASD/SIPC Broker, Dealer and Investment Bank. During that time Flemming, Anderson participated in many public offerings and private placements. David is currently involved in investment banking in China and the U.S. and real estate development in Colorado. David is the current president of the Hayden Chamber of Commerce and the president of Hidden Springs Owners Association.

Scott McGill

Scott McGill has been practicing law in Steamboat Springs since 1977. Before that, from high school through law school he worked at diverse jobs – as a laborer building the Steamboat Village Inn (the Sheraton), operating heavy equipment for Johnson Excavating, guiding tours of a French chateau in the Loire Valley, bartending on Cape Cod, guiding canoe trips in Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, among others. He is a former or current Rotarian, director of the Tread of Pioneers Museum, director of Yampa Valley Electric Association, director of Western United Electrical Supply Company, and governor of the Colorado Bar Association.

Stefanus Nijsten

Stefanus Nijsten has been a full-time resident of the Yampa Valley since 2004 and enjoys being an active member of the Hayden community. He is part owner of a construction and real estate development company and serves as the Chairman of the Hayden Economic Development Commission. Stefanus holds a bachelors degree in construction management and a masters degree in financial management.

Johnny Spilllane

Johnny Spilllane was born and raised in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Johnny pursued a Nordic Combined skiing career and represented the United States in the 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Johnny became the first American ever to win a Nordic world championship when he prevailed in the sprint event in Val di Fiemme, Italy in 2003. Johnny also became the first American ever to win an Olympic medal in Nordic Combined when he took a silver medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic games. He continued on to win two more silver medals at those games for a record breaking three for three medals in the sport. Johnny is a motivational speaker focusing on team building and teamwork for individual success. Johnny has done volunteer work for Sunshine Kids (dedicated to providing activities, trips, and events for young cancer patients), Livestrong, the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, and the Moffat County D.A.R.E. program. Johnny is a world traveler and currently enjoys spending his free time with his wife Hilary and two daughters, Hadley and Genevieve.

Robert Zibell

Robert Zibell was born and raised in North East Kansas where he studied business and proceeded to have a successful career in a variety of industries. Among some of the businesses Robert created are restaurants, a nightclub, a Fixed Base Operation on Forbes Field, a flight school as well as a number of commercial leases in Topeka. After getting acquainted with the Yampa Valley Robert decided to become a full time resident of Steamboat Springs and invested in real estate across the board but primarily concentrated in Hayden. Robert has a strong affinity with entrepreneurship and aviation.
